REACh
For consumer protection reasons the EU Commission presented its so-called "white paper" on chemicals policies as early as 2001, which led to the REACh system proposal in October 2003.In the context of the precautionary principle REACh makes it a requirement that a considerable number of chemical substances which are sold and/ or produced in Europe must be registered with ECHA in Helsinki. Their continued use is prohibited unless they are registered.
Karl H. Boddin Chemiehandel GmbH has been actively engaging with REACh since 2006, and since July 2008 it has been carrying out actual pre-registration work.
